01 · Overview
About this policy
This policy applies when you visit mybartender.sg, request an event estimate, contact us, make a booking, buy products, arrange delivery, use our services, or otherwise interact with My Bartender. It also applies to personal data we receive from authorised representatives, event organisers, venues and service partners in connection with those activities.
“Personal data” generally means data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data alone or together with other information to which an organisation has or is likely to have access.
The information we need depends on whether you are browsing, planning an event, completing an order or communicating with our team.
02 · Collection
What personal data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of information:
Contact & identity
Name, email address, telephone number and the details you use to communicate with us.
Event & booking
Event date, venue, postal code, guest count, service preferences, menus and special instructions.
Order & delivery
Products ordered, delivery address, chosen date and time, payment status and age confirmation.
Device & website
Browser and device information, website interactions, stored preferences and basic technical records.
- Transaction information: quotation, invoice, booking, order, discount, refund and payment-related records.
- Communications: messages, call notes, feedback, requests, complaints and correspondence with our team.
- Event media: photographs or videos from an event where this has been agreed or is otherwise permitted.
- Other information: anything you voluntarily provide that is relevant to your enquiry, booking or service.
Please avoid sending sensitive personal data unless it is genuinely necessary and we have asked for it.
03 · Sources
How we collect personal data
We may collect personal data:
- directly from you through our website, checkout, email, telephone, WhatsApp, social channels, forms or in-person conversations;
- from someone acting for you, such as an event organiser, employer, family member or authorised representative;
- from venues, suppliers, delivery providers, payment providers and other partners involved in your booking or order;
- automatically through browser storage, logs and similar technologies when you use our website; and
- from publicly available sources where collection is reasonable and permitted.
If you provide another person’s data, please ensure you are authorised to do so and that they understand how their data may be used.
04 · Purpose
How and why we use personal data
We may collect, use or disclose personal data to:
- respond to enquiries and prepare recommendations or quotes;
- manage bookings, contracts, staffing, menus, rentals, orders, delivery, collection and event operations;
- process payments, deposits, refunds, invoices and account records;
- confirm age or identity where required for alcohol sales and delivery;
- communicate service updates, availability, operational instructions and after-service support;
- maintain safety, prevent fraud, investigate misuse and protect our customers, team, business and legal rights;
- improve our website, services, customer experience and internal processes;
- comply with applicable laws, licensing duties, regulatory requests, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements; and
- carry out another purpose notified to you when the information is collected, or otherwise permitted by law.
We seek consent where required. The PDPA may also allow or require us to collect, use or disclose data without consent in certain circumstances.
06 · Transactions
Payments and third-party services
Payments may be handled by banks or payment-service providers. They may collect payment credentials and transaction information directly under their own terms and privacy notices. We generally receive confirmation, reference and status information rather than complete card credentials.
When you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, social media, a map, a payment service or another third-party platform, that provider may separately collect and process information. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, which we encourage you to review.
08 · Location
Transfers outside Singapore
Some technology, communication, payment or support providers may process data outside Singapore. Where the PDPA applies to an overseas transfer, we take appropriate steps to ensure a standard of protection comparable to the protection under the PDPA, unless an exception applies.
09 · Care
Retention and security
We retain personal data only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate business or legal needs, or as required by law. Retention periods vary depending on the record—for example, an active enquiry, completed booking, payment record or unresolved dispute.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
When retention is no longer necessary, we will cease retaining the data or remove the means by which it can be associated with particular individuals, where reasonably practicable.
10 · Your Data
Access, correction and withdrawal
Subject to the PDPA and applicable exceptions, you may ask to access personal data we hold about you, learn how it has been used or disclosed within the relevant period, or correct an error or omission. We may need to verify your identity and may charge a reasonable fee where permitted; we will tell you in advance.
You may withdraw consent for future collection, use or disclosure by giving reasonable notice. Before acting, we will explain the likely consequences. Withdrawal does not affect prior processing and may not prevent processing that is required or permitted without consent. It may also mean we cannot continue a booking, delivery or requested service.
Send requests to sales@mybartender.sg with the subject “Privacy Request”. Please include enough detail for us to understand and locate the relevant records.
11 · Communications
Marketing preferences
Where permitted, we may send information about relevant services, offers or events. You can opt out using the unsubscribe method in the message or by contacting us. We may still send non-promotional messages about an enquiry, booking, order, payment, delivery, safety matter or service update.
We manage telephone marketing in accordance with applicable consent and Singapore Do Not Call requirements.
12 · Responsible Service
Minors and alcohol-related services
Our alcohol sales and alcohol-related services are intended for adults who meet applicable legal-age requirements. We may request age confirmation or identification and may refuse or cancel an alcohol sale or delivery when requirements are not met.
Our website and services are not directed at children for the purpose of collecting their personal data. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us without appropriate authorisation, please contact us.
13 · Updates
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, practices or legal obligations. The revised version will be published here with an updated date. Material changes may also be highlighted through an appropriate channel.
14 · Privacy Contact
Questions, requests or concerns
Contact our Data Protection contact if you have a question, request or complaint about how My Bartender handles personal data. We aim to acknowledge privacy enquiries promptly and will respond within a reasonable period.
